The #British Embassy in #Cairo is seeking an innovative and ambitious Political Officer. The main purpose of the job is to support the work of the political section in the Embassy in Cairo through reporting of domestic political issues. The candidate will work closely with the Political and Press sections in the Embassy in Cairo. 

* Main Duties and Responsibilities:

•Researching, monitoring and reporting on current political issues and in #Egypt. Providing analysis of events.
•Writing analysis reports on key thematic issues relevant to Egyptian internal politics.
•Creating and maintaining a strong network of contacts by building relationships with official organisations, political parties and civil society to build in-depth knowledge of the Egyptian political scene.
•Provide support to additional ad hoc political requirements for the FCO London (eg. supporting visits to Egypt)

This is a busy and interesting role in the Embassy that requires a flexible worker who can contribute to the fast-paced environment. It provides an excellent opportunity for someone who is keen to develop in their career as a political analyst.

The ideal candidate will have: 

-Excellent English and Arabic written and verbal communication skills (essential)
-a degree in a relevant discipline, such as political sciences;
-in-depth knowledge of civil society and political parties in Egypt;
-minimum two years of experience of working in a related field;
-excellent written English and verbal communication skills;
-excellent research skills and briefing skills;
-organisational skills;
-ability to be a team player, flexible, and work to tight deadlines;
-The ability to build a good network of contacts.

* Compensation:
The position is Band C (LEII) and Monthly Gross Salary is LE 10,750 subject to Insurance and tax as per the usual regulations. We offer a competitive package including medical benefits, performance related bonus, recreational facilities, opportunities for job related training & development, etc. 
The successful candidate will be expected to start as soon as possible, subject to obtaining the appropriate security clearance.

Bio Medical Engineer



An International Company Specialized in healthcare services located in Alexandria is seeking highly qualified Bio Medical Engineer 
With the following qualifications below:
Responsibilities

• Assumes the responsibilities of Installation, Commissioning, Maintenance, Service and troubleshooting of Medical Equipment.
• Responsible for setting and monitoring the level of service provided.
• Responsible for monitoring the standards of each biomedical engineering process.
• Provides technical assistance to onsite personnel in installation, calibration and commissioning of medical equipment.
• Perform inspection and commissioning / calibration of new medical equipment in coordination with Genesis Planning.
• Checks all serial numbers and status of the medical equipment.
• Coordinates and evaluates the work performed by the contractors.
• Analyses equipment for failure faults and malfunctions.
• Conducts checks and inspections by observations and application test instruments.
• Carries our periodical routine inspection of the equipment to assure continuous good working conditions of the equipment.
• Prepares Preventive Maintenance Program and Schedules.
• Verifies stock of spare parts and advice of purchasing of spare parts and tools.
• Attends the installation of the equipment and the technical training.
• Prepares daily and/or weekly reports.
• Ensures that the overall activities meet the requirements of quality management and environmental policies and legal stipulations.
• Performs other tasks and duties within the scope of the knowledge, skills, and experience required for the job, as assigned by the immediate superior.
• Communicates effectively on the matters and issues of the manufacturing and quality issues.
• Liaise with technicians and manufacturers to ensure the feasibility of a product in terms of design and economic viability.
• Liaise closely with other medical professionals, such as doctors and therapists as well as with end-users.
• Attends/conducts meetings with onsite engineers, contractors, vendors, etc.
• Complete all new Medical Equipment Acceptance form and report any missing item.
